After some on-the-ground training and a safety briefing, your instructor will get the training aircraft airborne and can then give you control.  If you need assistance or get the aircraft into any trouble, your instructor can immediately take control back and stabilize the aircraft, so you can have another go.  It's a great introduction to RC flying.
